The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Branco FC's Geronimo Satordi made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niklas Sauter was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Cirilo Urki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Junior Adamu hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 11th match minute, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cirilo Urki to maneuver through the defense. Cirilo Urki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Esteban Iigo made a huge save. Cirilo Urki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute of the game Justo Cordara made a throw-in which Geronimo Satordi played forward. In the 25th minute Gualterio Quexal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Sauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niklas Sauter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Tonete, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Cirilo Urki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Iigo having to interfere. Junior Adamu might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteban Iigo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Junior Adamu ran back to his position shaking his head. Esteban Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Junior Adamu in the 33rd minute of the match. Niklas Sauter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sotiris Vergos, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Quexal in the 42nd minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Niklas Sauter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cirilo Urki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sotiris Vergos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Eulalio Tonete reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Niklas Sauter. The goal made the score 0-2. Cirilo Urki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Iigo having to interfere. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Bruce Pesch was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Esteban Iigo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Gualterio Quexal fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Branco FC's protests and gave Gualterio Quexal a yellow card for diving instead. Gualterio Quexal hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Branco FC's Justo Cordara got a free kick in the 64th minute. Cirilo Urki might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteban Iigo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cirilo Urki ran back to his position shaking his head. After 68 minutes of play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Junior Adamu made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esteban Iigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bruce Pesch in the 75th minute. The corner led SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Bruce Pesch to fire away a dangerous shot which Esteban Iigo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Branco FC booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Urki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteban Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Urki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niklas Sauter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Quexal in the 94th minute of play. The Branco FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
