Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Osorio, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Teɱperłey Cɨŧy's Erhan İren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Godoi in the 13th minute of play. Erhan İren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário Barbosa in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romário Barbosa got free with Erhan İren in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Allan Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Cristofol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Cristofol in the 26th minute of play forced Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Allan Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romário Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Erhan İren made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, Teɱperłey Cɨŧy's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Godoi came free, but Erhan İren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Varela came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Teɱperłey Cɨŧy's John Ryberg. But to his dismay, John Ryberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When the match was over Teɱperłey Cɨŧy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Palestra do Interior throughout the match.
