Celestino Dei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Epigonoi Honjas went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thanos Saatsakis was a little too slow when Vasco Lamego got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-1. 10 minutes into the game, Cyprus's Giorgos Robinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celestino Dei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Celestino Dei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Robinho in the 14th minute of play. After 17 minutes of play, Cyprus's Giorgos Robinho made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celestino Dei was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celestino Dei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giorgos Robinho in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of DUGGAN FC booed when Cyprus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Neymar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celestino Dei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hektor Fitrakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute of the match, Evaristo Gilen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thanos Saatsakis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 31 played minutes DUGGAN FC got a freekick which was hit by Ture Sertner. After 31 played minutes, Cyprus's Akis Bouzios shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Celestino Dei came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cyprus reached it. Angel Miliano hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute of the match, Vasco Lamego got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thanos Saatsakis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Giorgos Robinho took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celestino Dei. Celestino Dei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Giorgos Robinho struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Celestino Dei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cyprus. In the 45th minute Giorgos Robinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Dei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

DUGGAN FC's Celestino Dei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Robinho in the 52nd minute of play. Thanos Saatsakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Gilen in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Lamego in the 63rd minute of play forced Cyprus's goalkeeper Thanos Saatsakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee showed Ture Sertner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hektor Fitrakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Celestino Dei made a huge save. With a little luck, DUGGAN FC's Celestino Dei got control of the ball when Hektor Fitrakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celestino Dei was a little too slow when Hektor Fitrakis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 1-8. 92 minutes into the match, DUGGAN FC's goalkeeper Celestino Dei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aiakos Vardakas. Epigonoi Honjas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Dei having to interfere.
