After a rather tough play, Mountain West FC's Montrel Belber got a free kick in the 3rd minute. When Sven-Olof Lilja came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the SSV Ulm 1846 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Olof Lilja couldn't finish the play. Roy Holman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niclas Monschke in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Mountain West FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddy Sheehan to maneuver through the defense. Roy Holman made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Don Merlot sent off a good shot on target. Kryspin Cupial took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Reyna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SSV Ulm 1846 booed when Mountain West FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Whitney didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Mountain West FC's Roy Holman got control of the ball when Don Merlot tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Niclas Monschke notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Mountain West FC's Roy Holman. SSV Ulm 1846's supporters rose to their feet, but Niclas Monschke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roy Holman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 37 in the game by Don Merlot from a close distance when the talented Roy Holman managed to make a qualified save. Mountain West FC's players were relieved. In the 39th minute, Niclas Monschke fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Roy Holman, passed just outside the right post. 59 minutes into the game, Don Merlot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Roy Holman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 63 minutes into the match, Mountain West FC's goal looked a bit too open when Don Merlot came free, but Roy Holman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Don Merlot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Roy Holman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darrell Humphrey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Kryspin Cupial made a huge save. Kryspin Cupial made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Orhan Seyfi Sancar sent off a good shot on target. Roy Holman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Merlot in the 100th minute of play. SSV Ulm 1846 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mountain West FC for a fine match.
