Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rickard Johnsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gabriel Jönsson took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Saunders. Tom Saunders dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Tony Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by John McLae in the 11th minute. Tom Saunders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lech Warka, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Tom Saunders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickard Johnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Blågula Fantomer FF fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Blågula Fantomer FF's Lech Warka looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 19th minute, Gabriel Jönsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blågula Fantomer FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Glad in the 24th minute of play forced Edinburgh City's goalkeeper Tom Saunders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rickard Johnsson scored 0-5 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tom Saunders, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edinburgh City's Tom Saunders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lech Warka in the 29th minute of play. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Gabriel Jönsson sped through Edinburgh City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tom Saunders. Rickard Johnsson took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Saunders. Tom Saunders dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. After 42 played minutes Edinburgh City got a freekick which was hit by Guy Gordon. In the 43rd minute, Rickard Johnsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blågula Fantomer FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. After the first half Blågula Fantomer FF were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when John McLae made the kick off in the second half. Tom Saunders came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Blågula Fantomer FF's Fredrik Olofsson. But to his dismay, Fredrik Olofsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Tom Saunders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Johnsson in the 56th minute of play. Tom Saunders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Olofsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, Blågula Fantomer FF's Gabriel Glad dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. 62 minutes into the match, Gabriel Jönsson notched a goal, 0-11, to the right of Edinburgh City's Tom Saunders. Tom Saunders was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tom Saunders was a little too slow when Fredrik Olofsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-12. The crowd rose to their feet as Blågula Fantomer FF's Gabriel Jönsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tom Saunders. That made the score 0-13 after 69 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jason Geddes during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edinburgh City's Tom Saunders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Glad in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Gabriel Jönsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tom Saunders. Gabriel Jönsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-14. Lech Warka succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-15 in the 81st playminute. 86 minutes into the game, Blågula Fantomer FF's Fredrik Olofsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tom Saunders made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-16. Fredrik Olofsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tom Saunders. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fredrik Olofsson ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Edinburgh City getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Josh McLairish hit a great ball. In the 95th minute Rickard Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Saunders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Blågula Fantomer FF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Edinburgh City throughout the match.
