In the 8th of the match, Herman Sandberg tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Alberto Ferraro got in the way and made a wonderful save. Damiano Cacciatore struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Sven-Olof Hjortsberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vigodarzere FC. Sven-Olof Hjortsberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fulvio De Rossi's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Lerum F's Ingemar Nyman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dino Tesone in the 15 minute of the game. Alberto Ferraro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Falck in the 16th minute of play. Fulvio De Rossi struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Sven-Olof Hjortsberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vigodarzere FC. The supporters of Lerum F booed when Vigodarzere FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo Sivieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 played minutes Vigodarzere FC got a freekick which was hit by Dino Tesone. Damiano Cacciatore scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven-Olof Hjortsberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Damiano Cacciatore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Olof Hjortsberg having to interfere. Vilhelm Nordin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Ferraro having to make a save. 46 minutes into the match, Lerum F's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Cacciatore came free, but Sven-Olof Hjortsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damiano Cacciatore to strike the kick off in the second half. In the last second Sven-Olof Hjortsberg throw himself and got hold of the ball when Fulvio De Rossi in the 52ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 53 minutes Lerum F's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eraldo Sivieri who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Eraldo Sivieri almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lerum F's Sven-Olof Hjortsberg did a great save. When Alfonso Barberio fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vigodarzere FC's protests and gave Alfonso Barberio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Alfonso Barberio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Lerum F's Roger Ahlbom got a free kick in the 55th minute. Alberto Ferraro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Falck in the 60th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Fulvio De Rossi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sven-Olof Hjortsberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Vigodarzere FC defense, Roger Ahlbom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Ferraro. The Vigodarzere FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Ferraro should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Vigodarzere FC's zone, Sten Falck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Ferraro came out of the goal and Sten Falck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl-Ove Pilberg charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Ove Pilberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vigodarzere FC booed when Lerum F was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Ove Pilberg didn't get a good kick on the ball.
