In the 6th minute, Sonny Sielsted hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the game, Gustaf Birklum threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mele FC's Emanuele Berti quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Mele FC's Dario Iob got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Biagio Quadrini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Witcetz having to interfere. When Nickolas Marx, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 18 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Diego Donadoni was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Nickolas Marx might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Donadoni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nickolas Marx ran back to his position shaking his head. 25 minutes into the match, Mele FC's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus Hedetoft came free, but Diego Donadoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 minutes of play, Eget FC's Nickolas Marx made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diego Donadoni was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diego Donadoni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nickolas Marx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Camillo Bosco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Eget FC's zone, Biagio Quadrini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calle Witcetz came out of the goal and Biagio Quadrini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nickolas Marx in the 38th minute of play forced Mele FC's goalkeeper Diego Donadoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mele FC's zone, Nickolas Marx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Donadoni came out of the goal and Nickolas Marx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The throw-in from Gustaf Birklum in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mele FC's Fausto Tosi. Biagio Quadrini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Witcetz having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Mele FC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Iob. Lasse Dueskov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Nickolas Marx made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Biagio Quadrini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mele FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Biagio Quadrini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calle Witcetz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A sloppy throw-in by Fulvio Zoff in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Eget FC's Flemming Etwil. After 64 played minutes Eget FC got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Sielsted. After a rather tough play, Mele FC's Fulvio Zoff got a free kick in the 70th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Eget FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuele Berti came free, but Calle Witcetz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Dario Iob got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Edoardo Di Ianni in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Eget FC's Flemming Etwil. Eget FC's Nickolas Marx got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nigel Hermannsdottir's late challenge caught a Mele FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nigel Hermannsdottir helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, Nigel Hermannsdottir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the game, Edmondo Giannetta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mele FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eget FC the free kick. Edmondo Giannetta kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Eget FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuele Berti came free, but Calle Witcetz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sonny Sielsted's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Donadoni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play.
