The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Falck in the 3rd minute of play forced Lost Boys Academy's goalkeeper Fabian Modig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 5 minutes of play, Lost Boys Academy's David Lundqvist made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Olof Hjortsberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 7 played minutes Lost Boys Academy got a freekick which was hit by Fredric Nilsson. In the 11th minute David Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Hjortsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Sten Falck fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 18th minute Sten Falck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Modig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fredric Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Lundqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Sven-Olof Hjortsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A throw-in in the 36th minute of the game was made by Yngve Stor with Niklas Mossberg as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ian Hellkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Lost Boys Academy's Fabian Modig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herman Sandberg in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute Sten Falck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Modig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Lost Boys Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Brun to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Modig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Falck in the 46th minute of play. When Sten Falck came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Lerum F fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Falck couldn't finish the play.

51 minutes into the match, Roger Ahlbom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Modig. Lost Boys Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Ahlbom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 56 minutes, Roger Ahlbom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lerum F and the Lost Boys Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th match minute, Lerum F was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Ahlbom to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Fredric Nilsson notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Lerum F's Sven-Olof Hjortsberg. Sven-Olof Hjortsberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 64 played minutes Lost Boys Academy got a freekick which was hit by Fredric Nilsson. David Lundqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Sven-Olof Hjortsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabian Modig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Falck in the 69th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Sten Falck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Fabian Modig was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 80 minutes into the match, Sten Falck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Modig. Lost Boys Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sten Falck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Lerum F's Sten Falck managed to work through Lost Boys Academy's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Sten Falck dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Lerum F's Boris Molander got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Modig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Falck, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
