In the 8th minute, Sten Falck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivar Forsberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Holmgren in the 11th minute of play forced Lerum F's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Hjortsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vrångö FC's attentive Elias Jansson managed to snatch the ball when Boris Molander made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. Elias Jansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Olof Hjortsberg having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Vrångö FC's Roland Holmgren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sven-Olof Hjortsberg. That made the score 1-1 after 19 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lerum F's zone, Jarl Asklöv stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Olof Hjortsberg came out of the goal and Jarl Asklöv tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vrångö FC's Ivar Forsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Falck in the 24th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Sten Falck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarl Asklöv charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jarl Asklöv the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jarl Asklöv hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. A collision led to Lerum F getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Roger Ahlbom hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Roland Holmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Olof Hjortsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lerum F booed when Vrångö FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Asplund didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roland Holmgren to make the kick off. After 51st play minutes Elias Jansson shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Sven-Olof Hjortsberg and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Lerum F booed when Vrångö FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pål Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A sloppy throw-in by Patrik Bergfeldt in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lerum F's Ingemar Nyman. Roger Ahlbom struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Ivar Forsberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lerum F. In the 67th minute, Lerum F's Sten Falck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivar Forsberg. Ivar Forsberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After 69 played minutes Vrångö FC got a freekick which was hit by Jarl Asklöv. Aleksander Falck's late challenge caught a Vrångö FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aleksander Falck helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Aleksander Falck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Jansson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Sten Falck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilhelm Nordin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sven-Olof Hjortsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Holmgren in the 92nd minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
