After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, John McLae managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edinburgh City's supporters rose to their feet, but John McLae was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Falk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 5 minutes into the game, Kjell Nyman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tom Saunders. Kjell Nyman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by John McLae in the 9th minute of play forced Alsterbro FC's goalkeeper Christian Falk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tom Saunders was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kjell Nyman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. Jonathan Carlyle kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Tom Saunders was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Leo Björk. Alsterbro FC's Christian Falk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Geddes in the 19th minute of play. Jonathan Carlyle made in the 22nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Josh McLairish immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell Nyman in the 25th minute of play forced Edinburgh City's goalkeeper Tom Saunders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tom Saunders was a little too slow when Tony Stenberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 3-0. Christian Falk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jason Geddes, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Jonathan Carlyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Christian Falk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
John McLae might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Falk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John McLae ran back to his position shaking his head. Alsterbro FC's Christian Falk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John McLae in the 52nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kjell Nyman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tom Saunders was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 56 minutes into the game, Jason Geddes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christian Falk. Jason Geddes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. In the 58th minute, Josh McLairish hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edinburgh City's Tom Saunders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Björk in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Edinburgh City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leo Björk was slow to take the kick. During this time Alsterbro FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Alsterbro FC's Ulf Haraldsson getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Alsterbro FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when John McLae scored to the left of an out of position Christian Falk, making the score, 3-2. Jason Geddes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Christian Falk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Edinburgh City getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Chris Goudie hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Edinburgh City's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell Nyman came free, but Tom Saunders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 played minutes Edinburgh City got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Carlyle. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Björk in the 74th minute of play forced Edinburgh City's goalkeeper Tom Saunders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If John McLae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jason Geddes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jason Geddes in the 82nd minute of play forced Alsterbro FC's goalkeeper Christian Falk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jason Geddes kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Alsterbro FC's Christian Falk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Alsterbro FC from getting a goal against them. The Alsterbro FC fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Alsterbro FC's Tony Stenberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Alsterbro FC's Stig-Åke Fors got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
