The Mele FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Donadoni should have stopped the shot. Axel Palmkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Donadoni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Palmkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Tun FC's Manfred Colin got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute Biagio Quadrini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Tunberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Tun FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuele Berti came free, but Carl Tunberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Achille Manzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Biagio Quadrini was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Stig Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tun FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig Gustafsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Donadoni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diego Donadoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Palmkvist in the 84th minute of play. After 89 minutes, Biagio Quadrini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mele FC and the Tun FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 89 played minutes Mele FC got a freekick which was hit by Biagio Quadrini. Axel Palmkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Donadoni having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Mele FC's Biagio Quadrini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carl Tunberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jon Åkesson kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Tun FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
