The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alberto Ferraro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Johnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, Vigodarzere FC's Amedeo Di Iorio got a free kick in the 6th minute. Alberto Ferraro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Johnsson in the 9th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Blågula Fantomer FF got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Glad. After some careless play in the Vigodarzere FC defense, Gabriel Jönsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Ferraro. The Vigodarzere FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Ferraro should have stopped the shot. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Vigodarzere FC's Fulvio De Rossi in the 17th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Tony Guimarães was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Blågula Fantomer FF through an amazing save. Tony Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damiano Cacciatore in the 18th minute of the match. Eraldo Sivieri was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. Vigodarzere FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tony Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Di Iorio in the 24th minute of play. When Gabriel Jönsson came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Blågula Fantomer FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Jönsson couldn't finish the play. Alberto Ferraro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Glad in the 27th minute of play. Tony Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Di Iorio in the 30th minute of play. After 33 minutes, Damiano Cacciatore made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Blågula Fantomer FF's Tony Guimarães tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tony Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damiano Cacciatore in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Gabriel Glad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fredrik Olofsson hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th match minute, Vigodarzere FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulvio De Rossi to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Rickard Johnsson made the kick off in the second half. In the last second Alberto Ferraro throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rickard Johnsson in the 52ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Vigodarzere FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rickard Johnsson 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Vigodarzere FC's zone, Staffan Ros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Ferraro came out of the goal and Staffan Ros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute Damiano Cacciatore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vigodarzere FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rickard Johnsson 69 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Rickard Johnsson took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Ferraro. Alberto Ferraro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After 81 played minutes Blågula Fantomer FF got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Olofsson. Tony Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damiano Cacciatore in the 85th minute of the match. Rickard Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes in the game Ivan Hylander did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gabriel Jönsson. The supporters of Vigodarzere FC booed when Blågula Fantomer FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Hylander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Vigodarzere FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Boldrini to maneuver through the defense. The Blågula Fantomer FF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Blågula Fantomer FF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
