Matthias Grubb started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Grillby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fulvio De Rossi came free, but Sune Snäll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Ferraro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Arne Linberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Ferraro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Arne Linberg in the 8th minute of play. Grillby FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stig-Arne Linberg in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damiano Cacciatore in the 12th minute of play forced Grillby FC's goalkeeper Sune Snäll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Matthias Grubb managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grillby FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthias Grubb was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Ferraro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Matthias Grubb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Ferraro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Larsfelt in the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Matthias Grubb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Ferraro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Ferraro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Grubb in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Grillby FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Kalle Wik hit a great ball. Sune Snäll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damiano Cacciatore, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 30thth minute of the game Karl-Åke Forsberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vigodarzere FC's Alberto Ferraro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karl-Åke Forsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd match minute, Vigodarzere FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Barberio to maneuver through the defense. If Matthias Grubb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 38 minutes into the match, Grillby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fulvio De Rossi came free, but Sune Snäll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vigodarzere FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eraldo Sivieri in the 39th minute. The corner led Vigodarzere FC's Eraldo Sivieri to fire away a dangerous shot which Sune Snäll despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Matthias Grubb's late challenge caught a Vigodarzere FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthias Grubb helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andreas Wallgren during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Grillby FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Wallgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grillby FC's goalkeeper Sune Snäll, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Grillby FC's William Lund managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dino Tesone in the 46 minute of the game. William Lund struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Alberto Ferraro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grillby FC. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damiano Cacciatore to strike the kick off in the second half. Vigodarzere FC's Eugenio Boldrini quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fred Gunnarsson, made in the 51st minute of the game. Matthias Grubb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Alberto Ferraro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Grillby FC got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Larsfelt. Fulvio De Rossi took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sune Snäll. Sune Snäll dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dino Tesone hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Alfonso Barberio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Vigodarzere FC's Alberto Ferraro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Larsfelt in the 76th minute of play. Alberto Ferraro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stefan Larsfelt went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Vigodarzere FC's Eugenio Boldrini managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fred Gunnarsson in the 82 minute of the game. During the 83rd minute of the match Alfonso Barberio completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alfonso Barberio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Vigodarzere FC's Eraldo Sivieri got a free kick in the 88th minute. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Matthias Grubb sped through Vigodarzere FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alberto Ferraro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulvio De Rossi in the 94th minute of play forced Grillby FC's goalkeeper Sune Snäll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vigodarzere FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
