Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Åke Fastesson in the 6th minute of play forced Edinburgh City's goalkeeper Tom Saunders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Edinburgh City's Guy Gordon got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute, John McLae made a precise shot to the right of Carl Tunberg. Tun FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Carl Tunberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from John McLae went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rutger Ahlkvist got free with Tom Saunders in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tom Saunders made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rutger Ahlkvist in the 17th minute. If Jason Geddes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Edinburgh City's John McLae nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carl Tunberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 25 minutes into the match, Edinburgh City's Josh McLairish sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carl Tunberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tom Saunders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Palmkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute Axel Palmkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Saunders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig Gustafsson, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 42nd minute Axel Palmkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Saunders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes Edinburgh City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stig Gustafsson who took care of the corner kick. Axel Palmkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
50 minutes into the game, Guy Gordon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edinburgh City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tun FC the free kick. After 51 played minutes Edinburgh City got a freekick which was hit by Guy Gordon. In the 52nd minute of the match Stig Gustafsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tom Saunders skillfully saved the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Edinburgh City's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Gustafsson came free, but Tom Saunders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Edinburgh City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Carlyle to maneuver through the defense. Tom Saunders didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Palmkvist went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 63rd match minute, Tun FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Näfver to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 68 minutes into the game, when Jonathan Carlyle put in a rough tackle. Tom Saunders had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Stig Gustafsson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Ciaran McAy fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edinburgh City's protests and gave Ciaran McAy a yellow card for diving instead. Ciaran McAy hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. A collision led to Tun FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Anton Fernström hit a great ball. John McLae recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. John McLae scored 1-4 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carl Tunberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chris Goudie during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Frankie Conlon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Carl Tunberg made a huge save. John McLae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
