Fabian Modig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John McLae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fredric Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Tom Saunders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Josh McLairish hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ian Hellkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Ciaran McAy was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 19thth minute of the game Jason Geddes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lost Boys Academy's Fabian Modig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If John McLae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Modig didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Edinburgh City's John McLae shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 29th minute Jason Geddes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Modig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30thth minute of the game Jason Geddes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lost Boys Academy's Fabian Modig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Frankie Conlon notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lost Boys Academy's Fabian Modig. Fabian Modig was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tom Saunders didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fredric Nilsson went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Lundqvist to make the kick off. Fabian Modig was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Jason Geddes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jason Geddes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Fabian Modig made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when John McLae sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute Jason Geddes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Modig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Frankie Conlon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabian Modig. Frankie Conlon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. Fabian Modig made an important save on a dangerous shot by John McLae in the 96th minute. Edinburgh City played a much better game than Lost Boys Academy and deserved their victory. The Lost Boys Academy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
