Lerum F's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alsterbro FC the free kick. 23 minutes into the game, one of Lerum F:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Sten Falck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lerum F's supporters rose to their feet, but Sten Falck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Falk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Alsterbro FC defense, Roger Ahlbom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Falk. The Alsterbro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Falk should have stopped the shot. Alsterbro FC's attentive Stig-Åke Fors managed to snatch the ball when Boris Molander made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. Lerum F's Sven-Olof Hjortsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Nyman in the 86th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Kjell Nyman fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sven-Olof Hjortsberg, passed just outside the right post. Alsterbro FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
