Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roland Holmgren in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jarl Asklöv received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Tony Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lech Warka in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ivar Forsberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lech Warka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivar Forsberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Lech Warka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivar Forsberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Pål Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Blågula Fantomer FF booed when Vrångö FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Roland Holmgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Guimarães was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roland Holmgren made a kick off. When Lech Warka came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Blågula Fantomer FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lech Warka couldn't finish the play. After 52 played minutes Vrångö FC got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Bergfeldt. Rickard Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Vrångö FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivar Forsberg should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lech Warka in the 63rd minute of play forced Vrångö FC's goalkeeper Ivar Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Vrångö FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lech Warka came free, but Ivar Forsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Vrångö FC's Tony Guimarães threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elias Jansson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The throw-in from Gustaf Nordström in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vrångö FC's Sven Sjögren. After 92 played minutes Blågula Fantomer FF got a freekick which was hit by Lech Warka.
