In the 3rd minute, one of Amputees FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Amputees FC. Amputees FC:s Al Stevens showed great skill when he stopped Gabriel Gallego:s penalty. In the 8th minute Franco Mussoll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Al Stevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Inter de Guayaquil FC booed when Amputees FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Preston Worsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Gabriel Gallego shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Al Stevens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inter de Guayaquil FC reached it. Danilo Villafane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Preston Worsley, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Danilo Villafane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Randell Dillon's late challenge caught a Inter de Guayaquil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Randell Dillon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute of the match Gabriel Gallego sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Al Stevens skillfully saved the ball. After 26 played minutes Amputees FC got a freekick which was hit by Benny Schulzte. Gabriel Gallego took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Al Stevens. Amputees FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Franco Mussoll in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Al Stevens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 38 minutes, Franco Mussoll made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Amputees FC's Al Stevens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Franco Mussoll's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Al Stevens was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Benny Schulzte reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Danilo Villafane. The goal made the score 1-3. The Amputees FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Inter de Guayaquil FC were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Waller was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Inter de Guayaquil FC defense, Fabian Waller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danilo Villafane. The Inter de Guayaquil FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danilo Villafane should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Franco Mussoll got a free kick in the 69th minute. Quincy Byrnes might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danilo Villafane. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quincy Byrnes ran back to his position shaking his head. Danilo Villafane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Preston Worsley in the 73rd minute of the match. Maximiliano Sabando kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Amputees FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valiente Tebar came free, but Al Stevens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camacho Goiri struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Al Stevens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Guayaquil FC. After a defensive mix-up in Inter de Guayaquil FC's zone, Benny Schulzte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Villafane came out of the goal and Benny Schulzte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Fabian Waller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amputees FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Waller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Gallego struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Al Stevens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Guayaquil FC. After a rather tough play, Amputees FC's Benny Schulzte got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Chants of Inter de Guayaquil FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Amputees FC had held the ball for most of the match.
