In the 37th minute of the match Ludvig Wik sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danilo Villafane skillfully saved the ball. Danilo Villafane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludvig Wik, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cumbicus Caller stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ludvig Wik hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 60 played minutes Inter de Guayaquil FC got a freekick which was hit by Alarcón Mallavia. Ludvig Wik took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Danilo Villafane. Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Börge Botvidsson charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Börge Botvidsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th match minute, Zlatan BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börge Botvidsson to maneuver through the defense. Villafuerte Pando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erwin Virues lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Inter de Guayaquil FC! When the match had been going on for 76 minutes, Zlatan BK's Ludvig Wik got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Danilo Villafane. The supporters of Zlatan BK booed when Inter de Guayaquil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Calenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ludvig Wik, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Cumbicus Caller might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kjell Grönberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cumbicus Caller ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Cumbicus Caller made a precise shot to the right of Kjell Grönberg. Zlatan BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Zlatan BK's Folke Hellbom got a free kick in the 94th minute. If Ludvig Wik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Ludvig Wik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zlatan BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludvig Wik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Villafane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Zlatan BK players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Inter de Guayaquil FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
