Makis Katelis came out of the goal and Cumbicus Caller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Kostas Tsaris took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Danilo Villafane to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kostas Tsaris got free with Danilo Villafane in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Andreas Kalouptsidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Fokas Kontopanos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Danilo Villafane. That made the score 0-3 in the 66 minute of play.
