After a defensive mix-up in RED DEVIL's zone, Enzo Hermon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Cafer Konuralp came out of the goal and Enzo Hermon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. RED DEVIL's Ali Cafer Konuralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Kirby in the 23rd minute of play. Ali Cafer Konuralp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Kirby in the 35th minute of play. Tomás Romo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisito Estevon in the 44th minute of play forced RED DEVIL's goalkeeper Ali Cafer Konuralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of RED DEVIL booed when Granate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christos Triantafyllou didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Granate were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Christos Triantafyllou got free with Ali Cafer Konuralp in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the match, Granate's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Romo came free, but Jonathan Palmquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
