Domingos Beila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aquiles Oihenarte having to make a save. In the 6th minute, Spams's Ante Rebić ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aquiles Oihenarte. Aquiles Oihenarte yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Spams's attentive Humberto Cutberto managed to snatch the ball when Fabian Guter made a throw-in in the 11th minute of the game. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Spams was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cecilio Telesforo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Domingos Beila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Paulino Frechoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfredo Gaxan kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cecilio Telesforo during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Spams was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Telesforo to maneuver through the defense. In the 36thth minute of the game Domingos Beila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Aquiles Oihenarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aquiles Oihenarte made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Ante Rebić sent off a good shot on target. Aquiles Oihenarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Beila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Spams booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Frechoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Domingos Beila from long distance, 43 minutes into the match, got Aquiles Oihenarte's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 46th minute, Anselmo Sarracino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Spams's Ante Rebić was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 48th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Domingos Beila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spams's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Beila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquiles Oihenarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, Spams's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Gaxan came free, but Dražen Ladić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético Atlanta's Aquiles Oihenarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ante Rebić in the 69th minute of play. Spams's Cecilio Telesforo got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute Ante Rebić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Oihenarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquiles Oihenarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gualterio Veto's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Wilfredo Gaxan hit a great ball. After 88 played minutes Spams got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Telesforo. Salvador Honesto charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Honesto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Salvador Honesto hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Domingos Beila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atlético Atlanta players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Spams.
