The corner ended in Ciro Ferdinand almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lidice's Vitinho Gaspar did a great save. In the 15thth minute of the game Alfonso Goicoechea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lidice's Vitinho Gaspar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Alfonso Goicoechea came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Goicoechea couldn't finish the play. When Lázaro Cuartio fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Goicoechea in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitinho Gaspar saved Lidice from getting behind. In the 45th match minute, Lidice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Lon to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of Club Atlético Atlanta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lidice:s goal. 49 minutes into the match, Daniel Kvarnström notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski. Pankracy Glogowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Kvarnström to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Eustaquio Jaizki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 played minutes Lidice got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Van Hoeyvelt. Vitinho Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Jaizki in the 67th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Club Atlético Atlanta had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
