Rufus Roach hit a great ball. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Les Tigres's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roy Baba was slow to take the kick. During this time Australian Youth Academy's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Baba in the 21st minute of play forced Les Tigres's goalkeeper Gonzo Maradona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keylor Navas made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Leonardo Tipi sent off a good shot on target. Keylor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Tipi in the 27th minute of play. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gonzo Maradona having to make a save. In the 29th minute Garth Brough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzo Maradona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Les Tigres's Gonzo Maradona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Keylor Navas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvard Võsandi. In the 34th match minute, Les Tigres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Estevez to maneuver through the defense. Gonzo Maradona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Brough, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Ellis Hoskin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzo Maradona having to interfere. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Tipi in the 43rd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Garth Brough to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Les Tigres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Felo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Roy Baba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australian Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Roy Baba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonzo Maradona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Les Tigres's Mauro Abel was substituted for Sermet Erva. Les Tigres's Ömer-Asaf Güneş was substituted for Leonardo Tipi. A sloppy throw-in by Jarrod Mcmillan in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Les Tigres's Enzo Vezin. The throw-in from Jarrod Mcmillan in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Les Tigres's Enzo Vezin. 82 minutes into the game, Garth Brough cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Gonzo Maradona was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvard Võsandi in the 91st minute of play.
