The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Selyv Hacker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The inter Cardiff fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Selyv Hacker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rhobert Essig hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 28thth minute of the game Selyv Hacker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åkirkeby FC's Jess Mørkner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. inter Cardiff were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Åkirkeby FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dewey Hansen took the corner. After taking down the ball on inter Cardiff's corner Dewey Hansen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jess Mørkner quite easily take care of the ball. Collen Forbes took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jess Mørkner. Jess Mørkner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jens Harsted recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jess Mørkner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Selyv Hacker's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Selyv Hacker in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jess Mørkner saved Åkirkeby FC from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Selyv Hacker made a kick off. Siawn Bartells stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens Harsted's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Selyv Hacker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Jess Mørkner made a huge save. Gildas Duckett lost his temper 67 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 66th minute, one of inter Cardiff:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for inter Cardiff. In the 68th minute there was a penalty for Åkirkeby FC. Ture Wiid stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Siawn Bartells. 2-2. 75 minutes into the game, Herman Grodorf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Åkirkeby FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave inter Cardiff the free kick. Collen Forbes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jess Mørkner having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Halvor Ejsved notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of inter Cardiff's Siawn Bartells. Siawn Bartells was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, Åkirkeby FC could leave the field as winners, despite inter Cardiff having more of the ball for most of the match.
