Jess Mørkner made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Fábio Ramalho sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th minute, Jens Harsted made a precise shot to the right of Pedrão de Amaral. Avellar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hortêncio Pirani got free with Jess Mørkner in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 14 minutes, Heinrich Almose mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åkirkeby FC and the Avellar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes Åkirkeby FC got a freekick which was hit by Heinrich Almose. In the 16th minute, Halvor Ejsved hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Åkirkeby FC's Helmuth Rahbek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedrão de Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Fábio Ramalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jess Mørkner made a huge save. 25 minutes into the game, Avellar FC's Luís Fernando Quintal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jess Mørkner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Jens Harsted received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Pedrão de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Avellar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Jens Harsted sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jens Harsted to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Åkirkeby FC's Jens Harsted slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedrão de Amaral. That made the score 1-3 after 54 minutes of play. In the 58th minute, Jens Harsted got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ture Wiid recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricky Calder hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If Gino da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th minute of the match Chicão Cardozo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jess Mørkner skillfully saved the ball. Pedrão de Amaral was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Ricky Calder capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ricky Calder really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Pedrão de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ture Wiid in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens Harsted in the 82nd minute of play forced Avellar FC's goalkeeper Pedrão de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Jens Harsted managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åkirkeby FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens Harsted was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedrão de Amaral was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Ture Wiid capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ture Wiid really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. In the 89th minute, Åkirkeby FC's Halvor Ejsved ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedrão de Amaral. Pedrão de Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Jens Harsted scored 1-7 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedrão de Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Åkirkeby FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Avellar FC throughout the match.
