Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Harry Robson got the match started through his kick off. After 7 minutes of play, Dundee Rovers's Oliver McIlvride made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Theo Groom was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dundee Rovers's Gus Simpson got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick McDonachie in the 12th minute of play forced East Ham United's goalkeeper Theo Groom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryan Ackroyd hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Theo Groom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver McIlvride, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. William McJames charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William McJames the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, William McJames hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harry Robson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Brandon Borthwick firmly grabbed it by the left post. Theo Groom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick McDonachie in the 26th minute of the match. Gus Simpson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Groom having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Harry Robson suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Walter Munn fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dundee Rovers's protests and gave Walter Munn a yellow card for diving instead. East Ham United made a substitution. Alistair Lockwood replaced Harry Robson. Walter Munn kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Dundee Rovers were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 50th match minute, East Ham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Gates to maneuver through the defense. East Ham United's Theo Groom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save East Ham United from getting a goal against them. Brandon Borthwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Bell in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Walter Munn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brandon Borthwick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alistair Lockwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. East Ham United's Theo Groom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gus Simpson in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gus Simpson got free with Theo Groom in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alistair Lockwood in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brandon Borthwick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ryan Ackroyd kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Oliver McIlvride recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 85 played minutes East Ham United got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Gates. In the 85th minute, Oliver McIlvride got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Theo Groom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gus Simpson went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. In the 89th minute, Nick McDonachie fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Theo Groom, passed just outside the right post. In the 91st minute Alistair Lockwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Borthwick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brandon Borthwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alistair Lockwood in the 91st minute of the match. The East Ham United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dundee Rovers's performance. The match ended with a win for Dundee Rovers.
