With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian York in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerzy Kostrzewski saved Roczyny from getting behind. River Thames FC's Ian York got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Jerome Cartwright hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute Iwan Fink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Cahill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roczyny were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after River Thames FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bartlomiej Tscherner took the corner. Bartlomiej Tscherner made a great header on Roczyny's corner, it was just that River Thames FC's Trev Cahill managed to reach the ball for a save. After 12 played minutes River Thames FC got a freekick which was hit by Jerome Cartwright. Arkadiusz Puchlik charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arkadiusz Puchlik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute, Arkadiusz Puchlik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th match minute, River Thames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John-Paul Wall to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fryderyk Mielak in the 20th minute of play forced River Thames FC's goalkeeper Trev Cahill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave Roczyny a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bartlomiej Tscherner, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of River Thames FC's Trev Cahill. 0-1. Ian York sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerzy Kostrzewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian York, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Charles Baker charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charles Baker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes River Thames FC got a freekick which was hit by Charles Baker. The audience was convinced that Ian York's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerzy Kostrzewski was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. With an all-out effort, River Thames FC's Jerzy Kostrzewski threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ian York, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Florian Henryk charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Roczyny's zone, Tod Cartwright stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerzy Kostrzewski came out of the goal and Tod Cartwright tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian York did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Jerzy Kostrzewski 42 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ian York got free with Jerzy Kostrzewski in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, River Thames FC's Marcus Swift dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ian York made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play Roczyny's Arkadiusz Puchlik was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of River Thames FC booed when Roczyny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkadiusz Puchlik didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ian York's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerzy Kostrzewski was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. A collision led to Roczyny getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Piotr Dziechciowski hit a great ball. Bartlomiej Tscherner kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute Ian York shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Kostrzewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. River Thames FC's Loyd Harrington suffered a sore thigh after 67 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Piotr Dziechciowski's late challenge caught a River Thames FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Piotr Dziechciowski helped the player get up and apologised. Jerzy Kostrzewski came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by River Thames FC's Ian York. But to his dismay, Ian York quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 72nd minute, Florian Henryk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 minutes of play Roczyny's Piotr Dziechciowski was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Roczyny's Piotr Dziechciowski got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Jerzy Kostrzewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian York in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, River Thames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles Baker to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian York in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerzy Kostrzewski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian York in the 84th minute of play forced Roczyny's goalkeeper Jerzy Kostrzewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Charles Baker was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. A collision led to River Thames FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Charles Baker hit a great ball. River Thames FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Roczyny for a fine match.
