In the 11thth minute of the game Ian York who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Byki Karakanisko's Hilario Delfino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th minute of the match River Thames FC got a corner. Byki Karakanisko's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tristram Burns ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Loyd Harrington got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hilario Delfino quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. River Thames FC's Trev Cahill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marek Resel in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Byki Karakanisko getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Marek Resel hit a great ball. Trev Cahill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Resel in the 27th minute of the match. If Ian York had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Charles Baker could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Hilario Delfino however easily saved by the left post. Tod Cartwright kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Trev Cahill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stasio Pawelczyk in the 46th minute of play. Hilario Delfino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ian York's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Byki Karakanisko's zone, Tristram Burns stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Delfino came out of the goal and Tristram Burns tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, River Thames FC's Charles Baker got a free kick in the 58th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Byki Karakanisko's Karol Wierzchowski tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Marek Resel notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of River Thames FC's Trev Cahill. Trev Cahill was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trev Cahill was a little too slow when Marek Resel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-3. Byki Karakanisko's Fabian Zurawski was substituted for Marek Resel. A sloppy throw-in by Wit Cipinski in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by River Thames FC's Charles Baker. In the 85th minute, Ian York left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River Thames FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.
