Jerzy Kostrzewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick McDonachie, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After some careless play in the Roczyny defense, Nick McDonachie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerzy Kostrzewski. The Roczyny fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerzy Kostrzewski should have stopped the shot. Jerzy Kostrzewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick McDonachie in the 14th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Roczyny's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver McIlvride came free, but Jerzy Kostrzewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dundee Rovers's Nick McDonachie got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Dundee Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Iwan Fink came free, but Brandon Borthwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliver McIlvride received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jerzy Kostrzewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dundee Rovers's Brandon Borthwick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fryderyk Mielak in the 29th minute of play. Roczyny's Jerzy Kostrzewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick McDonachie in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Arkadiusz Puchlik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roczyny's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dundee Rovers the free kick. When Fryderyk Mielak came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Roczyny fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fryderyk Mielak couldn't finish the play. Dundee Rovers's Brandon Borthwick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan Fink in the 41st minute of play. After 43 played minutes Roczyny got a freekick which was hit by Florian Henryk. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iwan Fink to make the kick off. Brandon Borthwick stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fryderyk Mielak's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arkadiusz Puchlik in the 60th minute of play forced Dundee Rovers's goalkeeper Brandon Borthwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver McIlvride in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerzy Kostrzewski saved Roczyny from getting behind. Oliver McIlvride was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. Dundee Rovers's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 72nd minute, Dundee Rovers's Oliver McIlvride dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Fryderyk Mielak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roczyny's supporters rose to their feet, but Fryderyk Mielak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brandon Borthwick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Roczyny getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Witold Sokolski hit a great ball. 86 minutes in the game, Arkadiusz Puchlik dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 90th minute Iwan Fink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Borthwick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 92nd minute of the match Arkadiusz Puchlik completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Arkadiusz Puchlik a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 92 played minutes Roczyny got a freekick which was hit by Arkadiusz Puchlik. After having played for 95 minutes, Nick McDonachie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dundee Rovers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nick McDonachie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oliver McIlvride sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Dundee Rovers could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Roczyny throughout the match.
