Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Jess Mørkner successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 8th match minute, Guinness Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darick Todd to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Wiid in the 9th minute of play forced Guinness Athletic's goalkeeper Lisandro Ospin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Louis McWill recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jess Mørkner. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quinn Coyle to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Louis McWill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jess Mørkner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jess Mørkner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louis McWill in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Guinness Athletic were awarded a corner. Briain McJon went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Briain McJon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jess Mørkner quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jess Mørkner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis McWill in the 62nd minute of play. Ryan McNamee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jess Mørkner having to interfere. Lisandro Ospin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens Harsted in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Guinness Athletic's zone, Jens Harsted stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lisandro Ospin came out of the goal and Jens Harsted tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Louis McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jess Mørkner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Jens Harsted managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åkirkeby FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens Harsted was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Quinn Coyle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jess Mørkner. Åkirkeby FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quinn Coyle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Lisandro Ospin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Froholdt in the 79th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Åkirkeby FC got a freekick which was hit by Charlie Gadkjær. With a little luck, Guinness Athletic's Lisandro Ospin got control of the ball when Halvor Ejsved tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Louis McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guinness Athletic's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
