Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doug Walker in the 7th minute of play forced Skudstrup FC's goalkeeper Per Næsselund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, The White Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Lasse Lerholt came free, but Francis Gurney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Steff Egestrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Gurney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steff Egestrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Francis Gurney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albinus Rolang in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, The White Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Dlyan to maneuver through the defense. After 24 minutes, Tom Dearden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The White Rovers and the Skudstrup FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to The White Rovers getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Tom Dearden hit a great ball. Francis Gurney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steff Egestrand in the 25th minute of play. Francis Gurney stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Steff Egestrand's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Per Næsselund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Cartwright in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Lasse Lerholt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Gurney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skudstrup FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sonny Vaarst in the 33rd minute. Steff Egestrand hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Steff Egestrand got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Skudstrup FC. 35 minutes into the match, Lasse Lerholt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of The White Rovers's Francis Gurney. Francis Gurney was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the match, Skudstrup FC's goalkeeper Per Næsselund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mattias Cartwright. In the 40th minute Doug Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per Næsselund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francis Gurney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lasse Lerholt in the 40th minute of play. Skudstrup FC's Herluf Reinke managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tom Dearden in the 44 minute of the game. After 45 played minutes The White Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Joel Dlyan. 46 minutes into the match, Albinus Rolang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francis Gurney. The White Rovers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albinus Rolang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steff Egestrand made a kick off. Francis Gurney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steff Egestrand in the 52nd minute of play. James Haseldine's late challenge caught a Skudstrup FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. James Haseldine helped the player get up and apologised. James Haseldine hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Doug Walker fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The White Rovers's protests and gave Doug Walker a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th match minute, The White Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doug Walker to maneuver through the defense. After 67 played minutes The White Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Tom Dearden. With his leg Francis Gurney managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Skudstrup FC's Steff Egestrand fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nick Rushforth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Skudstrup FC's Sonny Vaarst was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Francis Gurney in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sonny Vaarst's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francis Gurney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute Lasse Lerholt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Gurney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The White Rovers's Francis Gurney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steff Egestrand in the 86th minute of play. When Skudstrup FC's Lasse Lerholt in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye The White Rovers's goalie prevented a goal. After 92 played minutes The White Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Nick Rushforth. Steff Egestrand might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francis Gurney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Steff Egestrand ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Skudstrup FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
