Åkirkeby FC's Ture Wiid got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trevor Brooke hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Francis Gurney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ture Wiid, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Åkirkeby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Cartwright came free, but Jess Mørkner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Åkirkeby FC booed when The White Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Bell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mattias Cartwright to make the kick off. The White Rovers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Dlyan in the 52nd minute. Heinrich Almose tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Jess Mørkner.
