To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Timothy Breckin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Theo Groom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinn Coyle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Ryan McNamee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Groom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Quentin Bell notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Guinness Athletic's Lisandro Ospin. Lisandro Ospin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quinn Coyle in the 23rd minute of play forced East Ham United's goalkeeper Theo Groom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martyn Preston during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Martyn Preston hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, Guinness Athletic's Louis McWill nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theo Groom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 36th match minute, East Ham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Breckin to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of East Ham United booed when Guinness Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis McWill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lisandro Ospin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ryan Ackroyd.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harry Robson to make the kick off. Quentin Bell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Ospin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quinn Coyle in the 55th minute of play forced East Ham United's goalkeeper Theo Groom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, East Ham United's Ollie Halford got a free kick in the 56th minute. Guinness Athletic's Briain McJon shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 56th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Theo Groom but with some difficulty. In the 59th minute, Louis McWill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Theo Groom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan McNamee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Darick Todd made in the 67th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kyle Harkin. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Quinn Coyle put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Theo Groom. A collision led to East Ham United getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Quentin Bell hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Quinn Coyle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 76 minutes of play East Ham United's Martyn Preston was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Louis McWill took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Theo Groom to make any attempt to save it. 86 minutes into the game, Ryan McNamee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guinness Athletic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave East Ham United the free kick. In the 86th minute, Ryan McNamee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. East Ham United's Timothy Breckin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kyle Harkin in the 94 minute of the game. If Quentin Bell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Guinness Athletic players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
