In the 4th match minute, Atletico Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Barfield to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Atletico Roma's Sol Saville got a free kick in the 8th minute. Pedrão de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Hudson, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Will Hotte notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Avellar FC's Pedrão de Amaral. Pedrão de Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 15 played minutes Avellar FC got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Paraibano. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Gino da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avellar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gino da Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rio Pryor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedrão de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Hudson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Will Hotte notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Avellar FC's Pedrão de Amaral. Pedrão de Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd minute, Atletico Roma's Leon Hudson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedrão de Amaral. Pedrão de Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When Avellar FC's Jeferson Prata in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico Roma's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Jeferson Prata sped through Atletico Roma's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rio Pryor. Chicão Cardozo charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chicão Cardozo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute of the match Will Hotte sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedrão de Amaral skillfully saved the ball. Pedrão de Amaral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Will Hotte in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

54 minutes into the match it was 3-2 when Gino da Costa shot a long shot which zipped by Atletico Roma's goalkeeper at the right pole. Fábio Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rio Pryor having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Jeferson Prata took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Rio Pryor to make any attempt to save it. Jo Zamora hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Pedrão de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathan Hanson in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Avellar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Will Hotte came free, but Pedrão de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Roma's zone, Fábio Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rio Pryor came out of the goal and Fábio Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 85th minute of the match Chicão Cardozo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Chicão Cardozo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 86 played minutes Avellar FC got a freekick which was hit by Chicão Cardozo. After some careless play in the Avellar FC defense, Leon Hudson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedrão de Amaral. The Avellar FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedrão de Amaral should have stopped the shot. 5-3 became the score in the 91st minute when Andre Pollard elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Rio Pryor successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Atletico Roma's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
