The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Victoriano Ostots hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zorion Balli in the 5th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper German Ourente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alianza Trujillo's Cristo Urtiaran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Alianza Trujillo from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute Rafaela FC were awarded a corner. Celestino Hever went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Rafaela FC's Celestino Hever to fire away a dangerous shot which Cristo Urtiaran despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 15th minute, Turi Sendin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alianza Trujillo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Zorion Balli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without German Ourente having to make a save. German Ourente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Ceraso in the 23rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Alianza Trujillo defense, Leonides Vito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristo Urtiaran. The Alianza Trujillo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristo Urtiaran should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turi Sendin in the 29th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper German Ourente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. German Ourente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Ceraso in the 31st minute of play. Rafaela FC's German Ourente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsenio Ceraso in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Alianza Trujillo's Henrique Tordesillas got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Victoriano Ostots hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Robustiano Milio in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Alianza Trujillo's Ferrer Bujanda. German Ourente came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Alianza Trujillo's Turi Sendin. But to his dismay, Turi Sendin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After the first half Alianza Trujillo were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonides Vito to strike the kick off in the second half. Rafaela FC's German Ourente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turi Sendin in the 56th minute of play. Guido Primeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Urtiaran having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rafaela FC's Victoriano Ostots got a free kick in the 68th minute. Rafaela FC's German Ourente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turi Sendin in the 70th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Rafaela FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Vito. In the 74th minute, Henrique Tordesillas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristo Urtiaran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Braulio Vermudo went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonides Vito in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristo Urtiaran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Vito in the 87th minute of play forced Alianza Trujillo's goalkeeper Cristo Urtiaran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alianza Trujillo's Euloxu Seoane in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rafaela FC's goalie prevented a goal. Fabian Sindo lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Guido Primeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guido Primeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 99th match minute, Rafaela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Primeiro to maneuver through the defense. Alianza Trujillo played a much better game than Rafaela FC and deserved their victory. The Rafaela FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
