If Sima Marinković had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Arne Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Guo Ke Peng came free, but Florencio Godoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Guo Ke Peng notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Florencio Godoy. The supporters of Vancouver Reds booed when ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Quintyn didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sima Marinković came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Vancouver Reds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sima Marinković couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guo Ke Peng charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guo Ke Peng the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vancouver Reds fans cheered their team off the field, for while ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
