They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Henning Sæmer was a little too slow when Nicolás Castillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Macnelly Torres got free with Henning Sæmer in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henning Sæmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolás Castillo in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, FC Nordsjælland's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Macnelly Torres fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vancouver Reds's Sima Marinković was substituted for Billy Oja. Henning Sæmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sima Marinković, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 90th minute Guo Ke Peng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Sæmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luca Frântu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Henning Sæmer firmly grabbed it by the left post. Henning Sæmer came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vancouver Reds's Sima Marinković. But to his dismay, Sima Marinković quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The Vancouver Reds players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
