ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amédée Gillis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Guido Carrillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Carrillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sima Marinković in the 73rd minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Tautvydas Mickevičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tautvydas Mickevičius was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Sima Marinković capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sima Marinković really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Vancouver Reds's Guo Ke Peng was substituted for Maxwell Eddy. Omar Duardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Txomin in the 88th minute of the match. With a little luck, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tautvydas Mickevičius got control of the ball when Guo Ke Peng tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vancouver Reds's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
