Thiago Almada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Henning Sæmer made a huge save. Opah Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitar Berbatov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henning Sæmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 20 minutes into the match, FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper Henning Sæmer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elias Pagomari. Henning Sæmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Fernandez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Henning Sæmer came out and tried to block the shot, but Ernesto Fernandez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 24th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Elias Pagomari kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Henning Sæmer. That made the score 2-0 in the 29 minute of play. The supporters of FC Nordsjælland booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thiago Almada didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the game, FC Nordsjælland's Dimitar Berbatov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Opah Gol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 37 minutes, Benjamin Nygren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Nordsjælland and the GuateFortín players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th match minute, FC Nordsjælland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Nygren to maneuver through the defense. GuateFortín's Juan José Ferraro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Henning Sæmer but with some difficulty. In the 39thth minute of the game Elias Pagomari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Henning Sæmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes FC Nordsjælland got a freekick which was hit by Dimitar Berbatov. Ernesto Fernandez took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henning Sæmer. Henning Sæmer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benjamin Nygren was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of GuateFortín booed when FC Nordsjælland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilhelm Liep didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henning Sæmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 53 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Elias Pagomari. Henning Sæmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Almada in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Elias Pagomari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute Elias Pagomari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Sæmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GuateFortín's Milton Umaña was substituted for Victor Valenzuela. GuateFortín's David Ruiz was substituted for Jorge Bonilla. A well done corner resulted in Thiago Almada drilling the ball in to score 4-1 behind FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper. Sindre Walle succeeded in the game's 67th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-2. Henning Sæmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Fornos in the 76th minute of the match. Henning Sæmer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elias Pagomari went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-2 was the resulting score. FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Behrens in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Baltazar Fornos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GuateFortín fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-2. Henning Sæmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Pagomari in the 90th minute of the match. Henning Sæmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Pagomari, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Pagomari in the 93rd minute of play forced FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper Henning Sæmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Nordsjælland players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for GuateFortín.
