Bloodthirsty FC's Lars-Erik Forsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolás Castillo in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Vancouver Reds's Görkem Büyükada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lars-Erik Forsberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Vancouver Reds booed when Bloodthirsty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristian Nordström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Vancouver Reds were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpected shot in the 97th minute by Guo Ke Peng got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the final whistle sounded Vancouver Reds left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bloodthirsty FC.
