In the 6th minute, Augusto Cordario left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Velez Sarsfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Nereo Artaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Orlan having to interfere. El Fortín de Floresta's Santos Orlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save El Fortín de Floresta from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute of the match Velez Sarsfield got a corner. El Fortín de Floresta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ronan Mistral ran over to the corner to take the kick. Velez Sarsfield's Ronan Mistral was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Santos Orlan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Augusto Cordario succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 15th playminute. Teodosio Sergi came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by El Fortín de Floresta's Salvador Hats. But to his dismay, Salvador Hats quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Augusto Cordario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santos Orlan having to make a save. Santos Orlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Cordario in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, El Fortín de Floresta's Lisandro Martinez got a free kick in the 24th minute. Santos Orlan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Cordario's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. El Fortín de Floresta's Santos Orlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save El Fortín de Floresta from getting a goal against them. Santos Orlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nereo Artaldo in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute Delmar Manex shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Sergi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Salvador Hats made a kick off. Santos Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Cordario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cordario in the 55th minute of play. The corner ended in Ronan Mistral almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Fortín de Floresta's Santos Orlan did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Cordario in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santos Orlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Teodosio Sergi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucio Stanislao in the 61st minute. Augusto Cordario got in the 63rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Santos Orlan handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Santos Orlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Artaldo in the 66th minute of the match. Teodosio Sergi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Hats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Cordario in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Orlan saved El Fortín de Floresta from getting behind. Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Manex in the 73rd minute of play. Teodosio Sergi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Stanislao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvador Hats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Teodosio Sergi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Velez Sarsfield's Filomeno Montrell was substituted for Nereo Artaldo. El Fortín de Floresta's Cristo Orlan was substituted for Eleuterio Rio. If Augusto Cordario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 88 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Stanislao came free, but Teodosio Sergi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
