Feliberto Dino made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by GuateFortín's Roberto Trotta. Santiago Caseres kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Roderigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Quilo Sobera took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nery Pumpido to make any attempt to save it. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quilo Sobera in the 11th minute of play. Oflador FC 2003's António Roma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match Angel Alvarenga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but António Roma showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 20th minute, Matias Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Roderigo in the 23rd minute of the match. Alejandro Ipar made in the 24th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by GuateFortín's Angel Alvarenga. In the 28th minute, Quilo Sobera reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nery Pumpido. The goal made the score 2-0. António Roma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zico Zellier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Oflador FC 2003's goal looked a bit too open when Zico Zellier came free, but António Roma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Roma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 33rd minute of play. When GuateFortín's Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oflador FC 2003's goalie prevented a goal. 39 minutes into the match, Oflador FC 2003's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Jansson came free, but António Roma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Oflador FC 2003 booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Ocampo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santiago Caseres hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Edvin Jansson was the one to do the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Sven-Edvin Jansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oflador FC 2003's António Roma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 55th minute Quilo Sobera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Thierry Henry managed to get in a good position for a shot. GuateFortín's supporters rose to their feet, but Thierry Henry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Roma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the match, Angel Alvarenga sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because António Roma threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Angel Alvarenga this time. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quilo Sobera in the 60th minute of play. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quilo Sobera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. António Roma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zico Zellier in the 64th minute. Matias Marquez hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. GuateFortín made a substitution. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quilo Sobera in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nery Pumpido saved GuateFortín from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Benino in the 83rd minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. António Roma didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Oflador FC 2003's Nestor Ayala was substituted for Alejandro Ipar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Paul in the 90th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prudencio Benino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
