KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turgut Soyuer in the 18th minute of play. Şemsettin Tuyuğ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Turgut Soyuer's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Cankut Wakabayashi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naim Süleymanoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Şemsettin Tuyuğ didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turkey. Şemsettin Tuyuğ came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Turkey's Aydın Tor. But to his dismay, Aydın Tor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
