Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Naim Süleymanoğlu kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Turgut Soyuer in the 14th minute of play forced KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute of the game Zachary Bienienda made a throw-in which Seyfullah Tuğsavan played forward. After 24 minutes of play, KOCAELİSPOR's Naim Süleymanoğlu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cankut Wakabayashi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Turkey's goalkeeper Cankut Wakabayashi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Naim Süleymanoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Turkey's Turgut Soyuer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Turgut Soyuer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turkey's supporters rose to their feet, but Turgut Soyuer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şemsettin Tuyuğ breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Turgut Soyuer to strike the kick off in the second half. Şemsettin Tuyuğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turgut Soyuer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute of the match Turkey got a corner. KOCAELİSPOR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Servet Sönmez ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 59thth minute of the game Turgut Soyuer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Servet Sönmez hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. KOCAELİSPOR made a substitution. Rafet Hazin replaced Ediz Tekdoğan. The supporters of KOCAELİSPOR booed when Turkey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Servet Sönmez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's Fiori Britto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cankut Wakabayashi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cankut Wakabayashi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Percha, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Seyfullah Tuğsavan might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cankut Wakabayashi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Seyfullah Tuğsavan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd minute, Turgut Soyuer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Turkey's Aydın Tor was substituted for Gürhan Sarıoğlu. A throw-in in the 90th minute of the game was made by Taha Campbell with Arman Ersan as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aydın Tor in the 91st minute of play. If Seyfullah Tuğsavan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aydın Tor in the 94th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
