They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melquiades Librado to make the kick off. Guanacos were furious when Jacinto Mingo was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Orlando Gonza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Thomas Diehl made a huge save. After 82 minutes, Joshua Mccormick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melbourne 007 and the Guanacos players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Frutos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Orlando Gonza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Thomas Diehl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Melbourne 007's Thomas Diehl got control of the ball when Amado Vedillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guanacos's Melquiades Librado got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
