The Flames FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Margarito Santana should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the game, Flames FC's Norbert Garland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tadeo Oxarra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Pedro Opilano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Lorenz hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A collision led to Flames FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Donald Kearns hit a great ball. Froilan Refugio hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Norbert Garland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flames FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Norbert Garland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeo Oxarra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Club Deportivo Español's Tadeo Oxarra got control of the ball when Norbert Garland tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tadeo Oxarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orval Crow in the 34th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Flames FC's Orval Crow slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tadeo Oxarra. That made the score 2-1 after 36 minutes of play. In the 42nd minute, Horace Vaughn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Garland in the 44th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Español's goalkeeper Tadeo Oxarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when David Lorenz made the kick off in the second half. Tadeo Oxarra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orval Crow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Orval Crow notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Club Deportivo Español's Tadeo Oxarra. Tadeo Oxarra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Flames FC booed when Club Deportivo Español was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Lorenz didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Club Deportivo Español getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. David Lorenz hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Orval Crow notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Club Deportivo Español's Tadeo Oxarra. Tadeo Oxarra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Orval Crow came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Flames FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orval Crow couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Rodrigo Peter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Darin Nunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the game, Orval Crow cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Tadeo Oxarra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyril Cantrell to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Edelmiro Savier sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Margarito Santana threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Edelmiro Savier this time. Berry Corley struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Tadeo Oxarra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flames FC. 89 minutes into the match, Berry Corley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tadeo Oxarra. Club Deportivo Español's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Berry Corley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-2. Flames FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
