If Nick McDonachie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruperto Tano hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Trev Cahill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver McIlvride in the 15th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcus Swift during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcus Swift kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Gus Simpson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Trev Cahill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gus Simpson scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trev Cahill, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. River Thames FC's Trev Cahill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save River Thames FC from getting a goal against them. Brandon Borthwick made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Trev Cahill was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gus Simpson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 33 minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ian York made a kick off. When Oliver McIlvride, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 51 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. After a rather tough play, Dundee Rovers's William McJames got a free kick in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, River Thames FC's Tod Cartwright broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. The referee gave Marcus Swift a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Dundee Rovers had played much better football throughout.
