Tom Saunders was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gus Weir showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Archie Hewitson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Wei Bing Ran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tom Saunders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Weir in the 16th minute of play. When Real Chelsea's Gus Weir in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a little luck, Edinburgh City's Tom Saunders got control of the ball when Braulio Abel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Braulio Abel struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Tom Saunders didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Chelsea. Braulio Abel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wei Bing Ran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Archie Hewitson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gus Weir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gus Weir who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Tom Saunders when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gus Weir made a kick off. Tom Saunders came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Real Chelsea's Stu Bullock. But to his dismay, Stu Bullock quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Gus Weir struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Tom Saunders didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Chelsea. In the 67th match minute, Edinburgh City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josh McLairish to maneuver through the defense. Tom Saunders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Weir in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Gus Weir notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Edinburgh City's Tom Saunders. Tom Saunders was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Real Chelsea made a substitution. Tyler Tolley replaced Gus Weir. In the 89th minute Tyler Tolley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Saunders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute Real Chelsea were awarded a corner. Kelvin Oldham went to the cornerflag to take it. Braulio Abel was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Dustin Schellander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Real Chelsea were the better team. Real Chelsea's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
