The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Todd McNamee kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Baiscend Frankson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Theo Groom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. East Ham United's Timothy Breckin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Finn McJohn in the 15 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Harry Robson could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Quinn McBjarton however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baiscend Frankson in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Theo Groom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Limerick AFC's Quinn McBjarton got control of the ball when Harry Robson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rdth minute of the game Baiscend Frankson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but East Ham United's Theo Groom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th match minute, East Ham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Breckin to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute of the match Finn McJohn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theo Groom showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ollie Halford lost his temper 28 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 27th minute, one of East Ham United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for East Ham United. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baiscend Frankson in the 37th minute of play forced East Ham United's goalkeeper Theo Groom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 played minutes East Ham United got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Ackroyd. Theo Groom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baiscend Frankson in the 39th minute of the match. Pearson McLian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Theo Groom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind East Ham United's goalkeeper Theo Groom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The wind increased when Baiscend Frankson made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the game Finn McJohn made a throw-in which Baiscend Frankson played forward. A sloppy throw-in by Todd McNamee in the 58th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by East Ham United's Timothy Breckin. East Ham United's Timothy Breckin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Finn McJohn, made in the 61st minute of the game. When Glenn Gates fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored East Ham United's protests and gave Glenn Gates a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, East Ham United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Gates to maneuver through the defense. After 67 played minutes Limerick AFC got a freekick which was hit by Shiel Hutton. Finn McJohn showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Baiscend Frankson charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baiscend Frankson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. East Ham United made a substitution. Martyn Braithwaite replaced Glenn Gates. In the 79th match minute, Limerick AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baiscend Frankson to maneuver through the defense. Theo Groom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pearson McLian, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Shiel Hutton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Baiscend Frankson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theo Groom was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When Baiscend Frankson came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Limerick AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baiscend Frankson couldn't finish the play. Baiscend Frankson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Theo Groom firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 92 minutes, Mike Callery mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Ham United and the Limerick AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Limerick AFC booed when East Ham United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Callery didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Limerick AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Finn McJohn hit a great ball. The Limerick AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Limerick AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
